Jennifer Cornwell CVT

Jennifer’s qualifications come from over twenty years of working with wildlife and domestic animals. Her career has taken her across the United States, up to glaciers in Alaska, down into South America, and across the seas to Africa. She would later transfer to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to study biology.  It would be in Las Vegas where she began working with Keepers of the Wild, an organization that specializes in the rescue and rehabilitation of abused and neglected exotic animals. Jennifer would gain further experience in wildlife rehabilitation while interning that the Carolina Raptor Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2004, she finished out her bachelor’s degree in wildlife conservation at Union Institute & University of Vermont. After graduating, Jennifer expanded her knowledge by working with sled dogs on the Denver Glacier above Skagway, Alaska. She returned to Oregon where she began working at a small veterinary hospital and in 2011 gained her certification as a veterinary technician. In 2014, Jennifer worked as the veterinary nurse for the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia, Africa. She is now currently working as a technician for a veterinary rehabilitation specialty clinic in Oregon.
