Program Details
Our training is based on the most current animal CPR methods developed by emergency veterinarians. The class teaches participants how to provide emergency CPR and first aid to animals until veterinary care is available.
Disclaimer: Although our curriculum incorporates the latest veterinarian-developed methods, we are not affiliated with the RECOVER Initiative, its training programs, or its affiliate organizations.
Supplies & Registration Policies
Optional supplies—including pet first aid kits, respiration barrier masks, and more—are available for purchase with your registration. Visit our online store for a full list of items.
Registrations submitted after the preregistration deadline (3 business days before the class) or walk-in registrations are subject to a $5 late fee.
Continuing Education for Veterinary Technicians
This program has been approved by the AAVSB RACE to offer 3.0 CEUs for veterinary technicians under the subject category Medical, delivered via live seminar/lecture.
If you are a veterinary technician seeking RACE-approved CE credit, we encourage you to create a free RACEtrack account with the AAVSB. This system connects CE providers, licensees, and regulators, allowing you to track and submit CEUs directly to your state board.
-
Click here to create a RACEtrack account.
-
Technicians who choose not to use RACEtrack must provide their CVT/RVT/LVT number and state of issue on the class roster so we can issue a manual certificate.
Important:
RACE approval applies only to veterinary technicians. Licensed veterinarians will receive a certificate for 3 Professional CEUs, though these are not RACE-approved. (See our Continuing Education Policy for Veterinary Professionals for details.)
