Meet Your Instructor Mackenzie McCarthy

Mackenzie has been a registered veterinary technician since 2013 but has worked and volunteered in veterinary clinics, shelters, pet stores and farms since she was a kid. She is an active member of the MD natural resource police reserve officer program and their search and rescue team. In 2014 she joined Chesapeake Search Dogs and became a K9 handler with her dog, Fenris. She believes that everyone that has a four-legged partner or works with animals should be trained to deliver high quality first aid/CPR but hopes they never have to use it.
