Request to Host a Public Class

Public classes are open to anyone in the community.

Businesses, employers, and organizations may host a class that is open to the general public. Please note that in-person classes are only available in areas where we have an instructor.

Use the form below to request a public class with Pet Emergency Education. A public class is a training session hosted by a business or organization and advertised to the community so anyone may attend. Once your request is submitted, a member of our staff will contact you within a few business days to help schedule your class with a certified instructor in your area.

Public classes will receive a registration and payment link on our website, and our team will use our advertising resources to help you promote the event.

A minimum of 5 paid participants is required for the class to be held. If you do not have 5 participants at the start, do not worry — we assist with promotion. We advertise through social media and reach out to local animal-related businesses, veterinary hospitals, and pet owners to help fill your class. Public classes must be booked at least four weeks in advance so there is enough time to promote them and ensure strong attendance. Please be aware that instructors may require more than five paid participants if significant travel is involved.

Registration Process for Public Classes:

All registrations and payments are handled directly through our website. You will need to provide three possible dates and times that work best for you. Instructor availability varies, and the instructor will choose from the dates you provide. We cannot provide instructor schedules, but we do our best to accommodate one of your preferred dates.

After you submit the form, we will contact you within 3 to 5 business days, confirm scheduling with an instructor, and then create the registration page on our website. We will also create a Facebook event on our company page and email you the registration and event links for your own advertising.

Payment for Public Classes:

Participants register and pay directly through our website using a debit or credit card. Hosts may not collect registrations or payments. All attendees must register through us for several important reasons. This ensures that everyone receives the correct class materials, that we have accurate contact information for certificates and updates, and that payment is processed securely. It also allows us to track attendance, manage rosters, and provide proper support before and after the class. Participants may also call our office at 844-PET-CPR9 to pay by phone, although online registration is preferred.

Please do not use this form to request a fundraiser class.

Pet Emergency Education will not share nor sell your personal information.
We do not have certified instructors in every state. Our company will make every effort to find an instructor to teach your class however we may have to offer an alternative such as a virtual training at a discounted rate if an instructor is not available in your area.
Please list your first-choice date for the class, followed by two alternate dates in case your top choice isn’t available. Note: Public classes are best attended on weekends. We can schedule on weekday evenings (Tues–Thurs), but turnout is typically lower. We’ll do our best to honor your preferred date, but alternate options help us confirm your class more quickly if instructor availability is limited.
We require a minimum of 6 people to hold a class. However your space must hold at least 15 people. Do not worry if you do not have 6 people committed to come yet. We will advertise and help you find more participants. Our maximum class size is 25 people.
*Our EquiAid and the Wilderness classes are available only in areas where we have specialty trained instructors. Please contact our office to inquire if it is offered near you.
