Animal Emergency Certification Courses live via Zoom 

Class combines lecture, Q&A session, and interactive hands-on portion with feedback from the instructor. Instructors are credentialed veterinary technicians and classes offer not only RACE approved CEU but certification in animal CPR, First Aid, and emergency response.

Virtual classes are 3 hours long and deliver the same renowned curriculum as our in-person classes. Class descriptions are on the registration pages.. Registration fee PER PERSON is $74.95 per person w/EBook or $99.95 w/Printed Book

Each participant receives Ebook Manual, an Official Certificate and a 2 yr membership to our Online Animal Resource Center. 

Veterinary Technicians and Animal Professionals can also receive continuing education credits by participating in any of our courses.

Class Requirements

**These are interactive classes, which means that participants must have audio and video access via a laptop, computer or smart device so that the instructor can see and hear them during the class. Registered participants from the same location may share a device and view the class together however everyone viewing the presentation must be registered for the class. At no time will anyone that is not registered for the class be able to view the program. 

Anyone enrolled in the Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid Class, the Canine and Feline CPR and Advanced Life Support class or Wilderness First Aid Class for Dogs must have their own stuffed animal(s) to practice on and be tested on for the CPR portion**

Meet our Instructor Team

   Haylee Prescott               Kari Meyer                   Amy D’Andrea             Alana Frum

Haylee has an educational background focused in Animal Veterinary Science, and is pursuing Vet School. In addition to teaching, she is a Veterinary Technician and Animal Control Officer with numerous certifications pertaining to advanced animal care and welfare. She has over twelve years of combined experience working in animal shelters, veterinary clinics and other independent animal rescue/foster programs. In addition to working with domestic animals, Haylee’s extensive training also includes working with various livestock, wildlife and exotic animals. She is passionate about community/client outreach and education in order to serve the betterment of animals.

Kari was raised on a horse farm in southern Minnesota, and grew up working with a variety of different breeds and different disciplines. She focused mostly on working with young draft horses and warm bloods and after graduation decided to pursue higher education in the equine field. Kari attended the University of Minnesota, Crookston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Science. She began giving riding lessons, teaching workshops and clinics, and training horses before becoming a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist. She is currently a Horsemanship Coach working with multiple facilities north of the Twin Cities and is pursuing a career as an Equine Specialist in equine assisted activities and therapies. In her spare time, Kari volunteers at Acres For Life Equine Assisted Therapy and Wellness Center, Abijah’s Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation, and as a 4-H Horse Bowl, Hippology, and Judging Coach. 

Amy has been a credentialed veterinary technician for over 28 years and holds registrations and certifications in multiple states.  She is a graduate of the Mount Ida College Veterinary Technology program where she completed both her Associates and Bachelors Degrees in Veterinary Technology before going on to receive her Master’s in Education from American Intercontinental University.  Amy completed training at Cornell University Veterinary School in canine and feline basic and advanced life support, earning a certification by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.  Most of her career has been dedicated to teaching at AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technology programs where she achieved the rank of Associate Professor.  While teaching in higher education, Amy became a nationally renowned speaker, authored various publications, including 5 textbooks, and became one of the industry’s leading subject matter experts in veterinary technology education. She has earned a multitude of awards including the Teaching Excellence Award, Distinguished Alumni Award and the Hill’s Scholarship.  Amy served for many years on the Executive Board of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America where she was the President in 2006.  Additionally, Amy served on the organizing committee for the Academy of Equine Veterinary Nursing Technicians and was the chairperson for the Committee on Veterinary Technician Specialties for 3 years. Amy is the founder and co-owner of Pet Emergency Education.

Alana is a credentialed veterinary technologist practicing in Maryland. She has a background in exotic and aquatic veterinary medicine, spending three years in avian and exotic specialty practice before transitioning to her current role at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD. Outside of her full-time job, she also undertakes contract work at a biomedical research facility as well as teaching veterinary classes at a local community college. She obtained her veterinary technology degrees from Penn Foster and St. Petersburg College, and is furthering her education with veterinary graduate studies through the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Her passions include everything herptile as well as spreading knowledge and awareness of exotic and aquatic veterinary medicine.
